"Wake up. Hey, it's time for school."

Girl: mmm. Five more minutes.

"Misha, wake up!"

I sigh. This is a daily routine between me and my childhood friend, Misha. "sheesh. Guess I have no choice." I turn around and walk to her dresser. I opened it and took out a pair of panties. "You leave me no choice." I lifted them up and acted like I was smelling them.

BANG! "Ow!" A picture frame hits my head.

Misha: What do you think you're doing!

Misha was finally awake. "It worked, didn't it?"

Misha: Leave my panties alone!

"How else would I get you to wake up?

Misha: You could just wait five minutes, you know...

"That never works. Anyway, can't you sleep like a normal girl and put on pajamas instead of just a white shirt?"

Misha: But it's so much comfier. What do you care?

"I do care." I sigh. "I have to come here everyday and see you like this."

Misha: I wish you can figure out why...

"Man. Isn't it usually the other way around? The childhood female friend wakes up the guy?"

Misha: But I like it when you pay attention to me every morning...

"What was that?"

Misha: Nothing, nothing! I'm gonna get changed now.

"Okay, I'll wait."

Misha: Hey.

"Yeah?"

Misha: I'm changing.

"I know."

Misha: So...

"So?"

Misha: Get out!

*sound of items being thrown*

"Okay, okay I'll go!" I run out the room and out the house. I sigh. "Good thing there's thirty minutes until first class. Misha'll probably take a long time to get ready. I don't want to be late though... Incho Shurelia'll get mad again." My stomach growls. "Man I'm hungry. What to do..."

A. Go to school
B. Grab an onigiri from a convenience store
C. Go home and skip school
D. Wait for Misha


Hint: Don't choose D.

Double post! So I won't ruin the mood of the story with explanations and ~nyas. I play a lot of videogames, read mangas/watch animes, and play VNs. I dreamt up this great idea for a story and so I made this all up!

I will post the next part every two days to give enough time for everybody to read and vote~nya. This will be fully text novel based, influenced by hundreds of other medias, so expect fun stuff~nya!

Btw, this takes place if the world of AT were in a normal world.

"I'll grab a bite to eat." So I walk to the convenience store. It's not far at all. It's practically on the way to school. Upon arriving, I take look at the sign for a bit. I don't know why. It just catches my eye. "Firefly Corner..." I never did figure why it was named that. Maybe she sells fireflies or something. I shrug it off and enter the store.

Woman: Welcome. ah, it's you. Good morning~

"Hey, Spica. Just grabbing a bite to eat."

Spica: Go right on ahead. Your business is always welcome.

"Thanks." I wave as I pass by her.

Spica: You're looking well. oh? You're not with Misha today?

"She's awake. Just thought I'd come here while she gets dressed."

Spica: You're not skipping school again, are you?

"No, I'm not. Waking up Misha to go to school kinda motivated me to not stay home. I don't care about my future, but I won't let her waste hers." I arrive at the warmer. The reason I skip school every so often is because nothing fun usually happens even if I went. Just go, learn, leave.

Spica: You're a good kid.

I grab one onigiri. "I wouldn't say that... ah, that's right. I forgot to bring my bento from home...Man..." I grab two onigiris instead. I wouldn't have enough leaf if I bought an onigiri and a bento. I walk over to the counter.

Spica: Just two today?

"Yeah, my inheritance from my dead parents is getting low."

Spica: oh well. By the way, there's a special on kitty candy today. Only 200 leaf. Would you like some?

"I don't care about the price. I just want a buckets worth."

Spica: I thought so~

She rings the onigiris up. To tell you the truth, I don't really like kitty candy. It's just a secret trade between employees and their friends to get a good employee discount. We get a free kitty candy whenever we ask so the costumers behind us don't get suspicious. I finish paying.

Spica: Have a nice day~ Stay in school, okay?

"Yeah yeah." I walk out. I hear the costumer behind me asking for three kitty candies.

I sit on a bench in a nearby park and chomp down my breakfast. A pretty girl passes me by, but I didn't really care. As I finish the last grain of rice, I threw the wrapper at a nearby trashcan underneath a tree. It bounces off the rim. "Guess I'm too tired today..." I stand up to pick up the trash. I mumble to myself as I threw it away properly. "Littering is bad."

I look at the sky. The sun feels good on my skin. I close my eyes. I hear the birds chirp, the wind blow, and the grass dance. The same as every other day. Nothing ever changes.

"Guess I'll go to school." I throw my bag over my shoulder. "I won't be late. It's a ten minute commute to school. It'll probably be this way for the rest of the year." I sigh. "It always is. Same ol' same o-"

Voice: Watch out!

"huh?" The voice came from above my head. I look up and see- "White?"

Crash! "Ite-te-te-te. What is it with hitting me today!?" Then I remembered. "Hey, you alright?"

Girl: Sorry, sorry. It's all my fault.

"What were you doing on that tree?"

Girl: I was saving him.

She holds out a black cat. It meowed. "A cat?"

Girl: Blackie was stuck, so I saved him."

"You already named it?"

Girl: Yeah.

"You named it Blackie?"

Girl: Yup.

What a unique naming sense. "Does that mean you're going to keep it?"

Girl: I am.

"You might not know, but around here, some people consider black cats to be bad luck."

Girl: Bad luck?

"Bad luck."

The girl reaches behind her head and pulls out her red ribbon. I watch her tie a bow around the cat's neck like a bow tie.

Girl: Is it still bad luck?

I stare for a second. "heh. I guess not." I stand up and held out my hand. She takes it and I help her up. Suddenly, I hear her stomach growl.

Girl: ah... sorry.

I laugh. Not sure if it was at her or with her. "Here." I take out my onigiri. "Take it."

Girl: That's okay. I can't take something from you without giving ba-

Her stomach growls again. "Take it. You'll hurt my pride if you don't."

Girl: Then... Thanks for the meal.

So we sat on the bench. The girl eats the onigiri, while I give Blackie the kitty candy. It should be okay. It is named kitty candy after all. "Well we know Blackie. So what's your name?"

Aurica: My name's Aurica. Aurica Nestmile. I'm new here.

"Aurica, huh? Nice name. And I guessed you're new. I've never seen that uniform before."

Aurica: Yeah. I just moved in. I was just going out to get familiar with the area.

"That so?"

Aurica: uhm...

"What is it?"

Aurica: Can you do me a favor?

"Yeah?"

Aurica: Can you take me somewhere where I can see the city better?

"A place where you can see the city better... I know just the place."

So, I took her to the best place I know. "This is Song Stone Park. It's really high, I never could take Misha here."

Aurica: Wow! It's so far! The view is great! I can see my house from here!"

"The city's name is Sol Ciel. My house is over there, in Platina Avenue. That's the school I go to, Ar Tonelico High. It's not much, but it does the job. It's a breathtaking view though."

Aurica: Yeah, it is. I wonder... what awaits me here. Say...

"Yeah?"

She turns around. Her hair sways in the air as she turns, glittering in the sunlight behind her as she held Blackie. Her smile was beautiful.

Aurica: Thank you.

"uh...no problem." But her eyes seemed...what was the word...

Aurica: oh no! I'm late for school!

"School?"

Aurica: I'll see you later!

"See me later? But you don't even know where I hang out!"

Aurica: oh yeah.

"Sheesh."

Aurica: Don't worry! Blackie's a lucky cat! We'll see each other again."

"Lucky cat? You just put a ribbon on her."

Aurica: She is so a lucky cat. After all... it's because of her that I met you!

"What?"

Then she left. I scratch my head and think to myself for a while. "What did she mean by that? Well... Luck, huh? I don't think it works that way. Still, that uniform... I hadn't seen that one before. What school does that belong t- oh crap! I'm gonna be late!"

A. ah well, I'll just walk. Who care's if I'm late?
B. I should get running! I'll probably make it in time.
C. I'll hijack that guy's bike! I'll definitely make it on time!
D. Forget it. I'll go home. Who cares if I go?
